Due to an unforeseen issue, Forza Horizon 4 players’ auction house data from prior to August 26, 2021 at 2:20 p.m. PDT was unfortunately lost. We apologize for this inconvenience and have gifted credits to players who were affected in the amount of open or unclaimed auctions.
Q: Cars I had listed for sale on the Auction House have disappeared. I am unable to reclaim the car or its purchase value. What happened?
Due to a technical error, the data for all Forza Horizon 4 auctions prior to August 26, 2021 at 2:20 p.m. PDT on Thursday, August 26 was corrupted. This includes cars that were listed on the Auction House as well as any unclaimed vehicles and credits from lapsed auctions. Unfortunately, this data cannot be recovered.
Q: I’ve lost so many valuable cars and credits. Will there be any compensation?
Yes. We have started compensating players affected by this issue. Based on data from our systems, we have determined both the value of cars and credits corrupted. Therefore, you will receive a message in the Forza Horizon 4 Message Center with an offer to claim the credits value of these losses.
Q: I have yet to receive a message to claim credits for my lost items on the Auction House. What happened?
Please allow up to 48 hours to receive the credits. We also recommended that you reboot the game if you haven’t done so already. Your compensation will be found under the “Gifts” tab of the Forza Horizon 4 Message Center. Otherwise, please submit a ticket to our support team.
Q: Is it safe to bid or buyout cars on the Auction House? Can I list cars for sale? Will I lose any cars or credits if I use the Auction House at this time?
It is absolutely safe. The Auction House service is currently healthy and players can create new auctions without any issues. You can also claim cars or credits from lapsed auctions that were listed after 2:20PM PDT on Thursday, August 26.
