Players on Windows 10 may experience long load times when starting the game and Benchmark mode crashes. We are aware of this issue and are currently working on a fix. We have some steps that may help solve this problem.
First make sure Windows Version is update to 1903 or newer (OS Build 18362.239). Check by typing in start “Winver” to verify, if not on current version please update as this may also be causing issues, Here is the updated Windows version: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3159635/windows-10-update-assistant
Remove Car Pass Add-ons
This problem is mostly occurring with users that have the Car Pass installed Locally on their PC, try removing these manually with the steps below. You may see results when also removing Bond and Formula Drift Packs as well.
You will need to manually remove the Car pass cars and add-ons including Bond and Formula drift, ONLY KEEP FORTUNE ISLAND AND LEGO ADD-ONS on your PC. You will still have all the vehicles from the car pass accessible in game. There are two ways to achieve this:
- Reinstall the Title with NO additional add-ons, Except Fortune Island and Lego. (You will still have access to all your purchased cars)
- Manually Delete Car Pass cars and additional add-ons, NOT FORTUNE ISLAND OR LEGO EXPANSION.
- Using Add or Remove programs you can select Forza Horizon.
- Advanced options
- Delete all items (Cars, Preorder items, VIP, etc.) everything, EXCEPT LEGO AND FORTUNE ISLAND.
